Across four bespoke 1-to-1 sessions, we will introduce you and your dog to the foundations of scent detection, building skills progressively and at a pace that suits your individual dog.

You will learn how to develop:

• Scent identification – teaching your dog to recognise and locate a target odour.
• Indication – helping your dog clearly communicate when they have found the scent.
• Searching – developing enthusiasm, focus and persistence as they work.
• Search patterns – teaching your dog to work an area effectively and independently.

As your dog's confidence and understanding grow, so does the challenge. We will combine these skills and introduce increasingly interesting and challenging searches, giving your dog the opportunity to put their learning into practice.

We will introduce searches in new and novel environments, giving your dog opportunities to work in different locations and situations while you learn to understand their body language and recognise the subtle signs that tell you what they are experiencing during the search.
