What is Pet Gundog Training?
Gundog training is about building a calm, responsive partnership between you and your dog.
Originally developed for working dogs in the field, modern gundog training focuses on obedience, recall, focus, steadiness and control in everyday environments. Whether your dog is a working breed or simply full of energy and enthusiasm, gundog-style training can help improve behaviour, boost confidence and create a more enjoyable relationship for both of you. Through clear communication, positive reinforcement and engaging exercises, dogs learn to listen, think and work alongside their owner in a structured and rewarding way.

Did you know?
Labradors were bred as water retrievers originally from Newfoundland used by fishermen, to haul nets, retrieve lost lines and escaped fish!
When brought to the UK they were adapted to retrieve for hunters.
Spaniels were bred to flush and find game in dense cover.
